Digital Studio videos are produced on Macintosh G4s and iMacs using Apple's Final Cut Pro and iMovie software, then processed with Terran's Media Cleaner to create a variety of online versions for different connection speeds.
 

All movies require QuickTime 4, available as a free download for Mac and Windows from the Apple website.

 

Here's a guide to the alternative versions for each video. Sizes are given in pixels; "fps" refers to frames per second. (Conventional video is 30 fps.)

 
High

Streaming


The best quality, but also the largest file to transmit.


Good quality, but not as large as the High version.


Fair quality, but a good alternative for modems.


Recommended for cable/DSL connections or better.


Recommended for fast modem connections.


Slower connections will receive a "slideshow" version, which is easier to transmit.

Rate: 15 fps
Audio: Good


Size: 160 x 120
Rate: 10 fps
Audio: Good


Be sure your QuickTime Control Panel settings reflect your connection speed.

Size, rate and audio quality vary with transmission.
